1.
Watch them stumble; so elegant! Such perfection; no humility... We must seek out; grow an avalanche. Our imperfection makes us stronger. What are you proud of? Why do you care? Being human; it ain't so special! The signs were there in all the others we trampled ourselves. We must break them. We must burn them. Watch the hunted be the masters once again! Hide my friends What are you proud of? Why do you care? Being human; it ain't so special after all!
2.
I'm living in a robot factory. I'm trapped! Don't say I didn't warn you! Don't say I didn't try! I wrote it on the walls, I wrote it on a page, I wrote it in the wires- I wrote it in their brains! They will destroy you. They seized me and they welded me to a wall. You see I did warn you, but I don't know why... I'm just a tech, it wasn't me role; leave the questions to those who know nothing at all! They dragged me away, put bolts in my hands, but I welcomed the change as they encased me into steel. I wrote it on the walls, I wrote it on a page, I wrote it in the wires- I wrote it in their brains! A robot factory... Reported missing, for what good it was worth; they walked right past me; missed my rebirth! I wrote it on the walls, I wrote it on a page, I wrote it in the wires- I wrote it in their brains! They will destroy you. They seized me and they welded me to a wall.
3.
Over by Christmas... When has is ever seemed that they would give up? When have we ever gained a thing? When has it ever seemed that we might give up? How can they ever gain a thing? Singularity I heard that once we all laid down our arms- worked together for something; for something useless! We will fight until we regain our humanity.

Endgame 04:21
Oh, they knew how to learn- quickly surpassed us. How do you draw against a room of grandmasters? They walked into the sea, oh glory! They walked into the sea, and fell apart, and ceased to be. We never knew our savior; someone broke in and took down an army with a few words in a general's ear They walked into the sea, oh glory! They walked into the sea, and all that could have been. They walked into the sea, and all was not for a loss. They walked in to the sea and we'll never know why we fought! Never understand... The clues were all written, never a soul ridden. They walked into the sea, took a thousand years of history. They walked into the sea, and we wondered where we all should be. They walked into the sea, and we felt the wind. They walked into the sea, and there was nothing left.

about

This short (15 minute) record was produced as an experiment to develop my skills. I wanted to explore areas which are largely taken for granted in rock music, but which I have somehow missed out on my own progressive journey. As a result, these are some of the most technically conventional tracks I have ever written, but I hope that they have enough quirks to be worth a few listens.

The basic conceit is that this record is a fair depiction of a live-oriented band. This places useful limitations on the scope of sounds I can use, and hopefully has resulted in a reasonably consistent 'raw' sound. I will not presume to claim that every imperfection in the performance and recording is there deliberately, but many of them were consciously retained.

The story explores various paradoxes, confusion and misunderstandings surrounding the events of the future robot uprising.
