I told a lie and they believed me
and the world don't look the same.
I feel fine, like it was easy;
makes me wonder what else can change.

A solid rival will be discreet,
scrape out channels at a streak.
It's best to game them if you're feeling weak
we must face them in relief.

Is it better to trust the mystic who understands your soul
than the writer and the critic whose ideals flop and fold?
Is it better to trust your instincts, evolving all your life,
than the evidence and breakdown that claims to change your mind?

"Cogito ergo sum"
that's all they can do.
They need to hear me
they need to read me
they must feed me... soon.

A shortcut in the model, a trusted data source
takes too long to follow the root of every thought.
Is it better to sketch the lines out, as Euclid would have liked,
when the bottom of all reason, is empty as our lives?

I felt the floor move beneath me;
if I'm floating or falling I can't tell.
